Convenience Fee

A convenience fee is a charge assessed by a company to cover the costs associated with providing an alternative or additional method of payment. The fee is assessed regardless of whether the customer chooses to use the service. For example, a convenience fee may be charged for processing a credit card payment, using an ATM, or ordering goods and services online.
