Floor Limit

A floor limit is a predetermined amount that merchants and other businesses accept as payment for goods and services without obtaining prior authorization. This amount is set by the merchant and issuer of the credit card to protect them from fraud and other unauthorized charges. The limit is usually stated on the merchant's credit card agreement, or it can be found on the credit card company's website.
