Negative Amortization

Negative amortization is a type of financing that results in the borrower's debt increasing over time. In a negative amortization loan, the borrower's monthly payments do not cover the interest charges on the loan. The unpaid interest is added to the principal amount of the loan, causing the total balance to grow progressively larger over time.
