A void is a transaction that has been recorded for settlement, but has not yet been settled. This can happen for a variety of reasons, but most often it occurs when a check bounces or a credit card is declined. A void nullifies the original transaction, so it is as if the transaction never took place. If you have voided a check, you will need to record a new check with the correct information.
