Z Score

The Altman Z-score is a financial ratio that predicts the probability of bankruptcy for a publicly traded company. It was developed by Edward I. Altman, who was an assistant professor of finance at New York University. The model uses five financial ratios that can be calculated from a company's balance sheet and income statement.
