EMV

An EMV, or Europay-Mastercard-Visa, is a type of credit card that contains a microchip. This microchip stores information about the cardholder and their account, and is used to authenticate transactions. When making a purchase with an EMV card, the cardholder will insert their card into a reader and enter their PIN. The reader will then communicate with the microchip to confirm the transaction.
