"New verdigris cast - patinated."
Kolio Karamfilov head sculpture in bronze, a modern art visage with one eye closed and carved linear relief.
Placed on a console, pedestal, or library shelf and lit from one side, the face gathers the room without asking for attention. It reads as a choice made with discernment, and gives its owner the quiet reward of living with something inward, composed, and unmistakably personal.

Kolio Karamfilov (1963–2014) was a Bulgarian artist from Plovdiv whose work moved with unusual freedom between sculpture, drawing, painting, graphics, scenography, performance, installation, and photography. Active in Bulgaria’s art scene from 1983 onward, he was a founding member of the avant-garde groups The Edge (1990) and Disco 95 (1995), and exhibited widely in Bulgaria and abroad, including in Japan, Moscow, and Germany. His lasting importance was reaffirmed by the National Gallery’s 2024 exhibition Beyond the Man, dedicated to his work and legacy.
