Pavel Koychev (born 1939, Sofia) is one of the central names in Bulgarian sculpture. Trained in sculpture in Sofia and active internationally for decades, he represented Bulgaria at the Venice Biennale in 2002 and took part in the “World Artists of the Millennium” exhibition at the United Nations in New York in 1999. His work is held by the National Gallery in Sofia, the Sofia City Art Gallery, and private collections across Europe and the United States, marking him as an artist of lasting cultural significance.
